CLUB HERITAGE:
FC Ireland was founded in 1994, after watching the US Men's team play Brazil in the World Cup. Originally as the Leprechauns and some ‘old’ players from Cosumnes River College at Off the Wall indoor during the summer of that year in the ‘Comp’ league. Our first major success was a second place finish to the Sacramento Knights (full team) in that year’s Christmas tourney. Founder and Manager David McCreary maintains it’s competitive edge through teamwork, fair play and a life long passion for the game. Now with 4 seasons completed in the CCSL the Club plays at the highest level of amateur soccer in the Central Valley of California, in a continuing quest to strive for the best soccer possible.

WHAT WE ARE ALL ABOUT:
FC Ireland has built a Club dedicated to the highest pursuit of amateur soccer in the Sacramento valley and is again ramping up for this year’s outdoor and indoor seasons. Come and join the Club as we play indoor on Tuesdays, practice weekly on Thursdays and games on Sundays. Some Club players are playing 3x a week with FC Ireland, why go anywhere else? Typically we attend around 5 tournaments a year. The Club has grown both on the pitch and off with many friends and jobs as a result of the great group of player who wear the "Green". Join us on an open practice night and see for yourself what we are all about.

Cheers!
Coach

Rest in Peace our friend and FCI teammate, May God be with you Craig

CHALMERS, Craig
On January 11, 2010, our beloved brother and friend, Craig Chalmers, passed away suddenly of a massive heart attack. Craig was gifted in so many ways. He was a talented soccer player and golfer. He was a master craftsman, who shared not only his vision, but his drive and expertise with those fortunate to be involved with Bidwell Design and Build. He was quite simply the best friend, the best advisor, the best brother, and the best uncle we could have asked for. Those who touched Craig's life and those whose lives he touched are invited to share their memories, stories, and sorrow at services on Saturday, January 16, 2010.
